Red Accents

This painting served as inspiration to infuse the room with hints of red. A striped pillow, nautical flags, and a single bloom on the bed stand carry out the effect.



Charming Country Bedroom

The soft patina of the beadboard ceiling and wall add subtle contrast to the white linens and bed frame. A series of pressed wildflowers above the bed are a nod to the home's Texas surroundings.




Bold and Funky

Create a style all your own by using fabrics from unexpected sources. These moss-floral pillow shams were made from a tablecloth and lined with mismatched fringe from old curtains. Pieces of silk drapery and a polyester bathrobe were used for the lamp shade.




Girly Country Bedroom

A little girl's room is made chic with ultra-feminine yet relaxed details. A small dress form, sparkly chandelier, and shiny skirted chairs are surrounded by muted walls and distressed furniture.




Happy Hodgepodge

This boxy master bedroom was rejuvenated with a mix of pastels on the floor and walls. Flea market finds, like the dresser and stools, got new life with a few coats of high-gloss paint. More color and texture were added with a chenille throw, floral comforter, and green shag rug.




Ode to Green

Inspired by a vintage dress, the homeowner created a room with lacy-looking wallpaper (tacked up with pushpins!) and a sheer canopy. Myriad fabrics in green tones complete this dreamy confection.




Soothing Bedroom

Soft green walls and a white-painted floor give this master bedroom a soothing appearance. A collection of framed 19th-century pressed leaves and flowers substitute for a traditional headboard.
