Decorating & Lifestyle editor Robin Mayer characterized the bedroom with a mix of styles. Here, one might expect to find this wicker table on a porch, but it fits perfectly as a side table. An iconic four-poster bed receives added character with an airy swag.




The bedroom layout is symmetrical, a common arrangement throughout the house. Two dressers flank the bedroom window, above each is an ornate mirror in an unexpected white finish.



A window seat provides instant comfort and warmth in the bedroom; pillows covered in burlap add another layer of texture to the smooth, beadboard drawer fronts.



Drawers built into the window seat offer additional storage.



Decorating & Lifestyle Editor Robin Mayer chose this John Derian paperweight because she "thought it was a good thing for everyone to remember."



The bed is covered in shades of gray and cream, with a touch of soft pink.



"I'm hoping that here we see the same look I'm trying to carry throughout the house," says Robin of the pottery on this bedroom shelf decorating a narrow part of the wall. The same pottery is used to decorate the living room shelves.



Another example of mixing styles within a room, this ultra-modern, flat-screened television fits right into the room's classic feel.



There wasn't much room for side tables, so Robin chose wall-mounted fixtures for lighting on either side of the bed.
