This quick and easy project will look great in any kitchen. It´s also a great gift for someone you love.
You will need:
- Wood cut to the required shape (pine or supawood can be used).
- Wrapping paper
- PVA (water based) adhesive
- Small foam roller
- Wood stain
- Brass pins
- (2) clothes pegs
- Brass name plate
- Hot glue gun and glue sticks
Here's how:
1. Drill hole at top of plaque. Cover with your chosen wrapping paper using PVA adhesive.
2. Cut the paper approximately 5 cm than plaque for folding over the sides and gluing to the back.
3. Cut out a piece of wrapping paper to size to cover the back and seams; affix with PVA adhesive. Allow to dry.
4. Apply 2 to 3 coats of water based clear varnish with a foam roller, allowing each coat to dry before applying the next coat.
5. Stain clothes pins and allow to dry. Attach to the plaque with hot glue gun.
6. Attach nameplate at top as shown and hot glue in place.
7. Use a permanent marker to add 'Recipes' to the name plate.
